Aircraft Cabin Air Quality Solutions

BASF ECMS is committed to advancing and promoting environmentally sound technologies to achieve a more sustainable future in aviation.

Why ECMS?

Properties

We are pioneers

For nearly 40 years, BASF ECMS has worked tirelessly to improve aircraft cabin air quality with our Ozone, Ozone+VOC, and VOC2.0 converters for commercial and private aircraft.

Exceeding expectations

Passengers and crew expect to fly in a well-maintained aircraft that has a comfortable cabin environment. Ozone converter catalysts are key to ensuring clean cabin air.

Adapting to industry needs

As airlines face increasing challenges with cabin odor and fume events, often caused by high-efficiency engine designs, our VOC2.0 innovative technology is a sustainable and cost-effective solution for operators facing the increased challenge of cabin odor and fume events.

Fast and effective MRO service

Our MRO service extends the operational lifespan of ozone and VOC2.0 converters, ensuring optimal performance and air quality. Through our specialized cleaning process, we remove contaminants on the molecular level, preserving the original catalyst structure and restoring the converter to OEM specifications.

Featured Products & Services

VOZC

Our VOZC technology offers benefits in terms of operational performance and passenger experience. By effectively eliminating a broad range of odorous compounds, including engine smells, the technology helps you ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable cabin environment.

Dual Ozone/VOC Converter

BASF offers technology to reduce both harmful ozone and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) in aircraft cabin air. This technology improves air quality by removing certain hydrocarbon compounds responsible for unpleasant odors, such as jet fuel smell. Sources of these odors include lubricant leaks and on-ground maintenance activities.

UpCore™

Elevate your aircraft's performance with our UpCore Service, by seamlessly upgrading your existing Ozone-only or Ozone-VOC catalyst core to our VOC2.0 catalyst core. This standard procedure reduces the airline's risk of flight disruptions due to cabin odors and fume incidents that can cost between $10,000 and $150,000 an event.

MRO Services
