BASF ECMS announces leadership changes

ISELIN, NEW JERSEY, April 1, 2026 – BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS) has announced leadership changes for its two business units – Mobile Emissions Catalysts and Precious Metal Services and Recycling – effective April 1, 2026. Tim Ingle will serve as Senior Vice President of the Mobile Emissions Catalysts business, succeeding Daniel Wussow who was appointed President of the Care Chemicals division at BASF. Alex Attlesey, formerly Vice President of Refining Catalysts at BASF Corporation, succeeds Tim Ingle as Senior Vice President of Precious Metal Services and Recycling. Both leaders are based at the global headquarters in Iselin, New Jersey. 

Tim Ingle joined BASF through the Engelhard acquisition. Since 2004, he has held various roles in Sales, Strategy, Procurement, and Business Management, spending most of his time in the Catalysts division. In 2018, he assumed the role of Vice President, Precious Metals Refining, Chemicals and Battery Recycling, prior to being named Senior Vice President of the Precious Metal Services and Recycling business in 2022. 

Alex Attlesey joins ECMS after most recently serving as the Vice President of Refining Catalysts, BASF Corporation, in Houston, Texas, since 2023. Previously, he was Vice President, Business Management, Automotive OEM Coatings Solutions Americas. Alex has more than 10 years of experience across the refining and automotive industries with a total of 30 years at BASF. “I am proud to have strong business leaders like Tim and Alex on our leadership team to help drive ECMS’s success and industry-leading position,” said Dirk Bremm, President and CEO of ECMS.
