About BASF ECMS

BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions (ECMS), headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey, USA, is a global division of BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, Germany. ECMS has established itself as the world’s leading provider of environmental and process catalysts, with a workforce exceeding 4,000 employees and over 30 manufacturing sites worldwide.

In December 2021, BASF initiated the carve-out of its mobile emissions catalysts, precious metals trading, recycling, and related products and services into an independent entity. This transition was successfully completed in July 2023, creating a standalone organization while remaining an integral part of the BASF Group. ECMS now leads the way in catalysis and sustainable solutions, continuing to innovate and redefine industry standards.
